A 13 foot high double decker bus crashed into a railway bridge with a clearance of 10 feet 9 inches in Salina, New York on Saturday afternoon. Four people were wrongfully killed in the accident and twenty others were treated for injuries.
The accident occurred after the bus driver, 59-year old John Tomaszewski of New Jersey, took a wrong turn into an unfamiliar area. The bus was planned to make a stop in Syracuse off of Interstate 81 but somehow ended up on the Onondaga Lake Parkway.
The four people killed in the accident were from New York, Pennsylvania, Malaysia, and India. Of the twenty others injured, one was listed in very critical condition and the driver and three others in serious condition.

A man in Gravesend died following a Brooklyn car accident Monday.
According to a report released by the New York CIty Police Department, Constantine Beyn was driving in a Toyota Camry shortly after 10:15 p.m. when his car jumped a curb and collided with a subway stanchion. The accident happened at the intersection of Shell Road and Bouck Court.
Beyn was transported to Luthern Medical Center after the crash, where he was later pronounced dead. Two 24 year-old women, who were riding with Beyn at the time, were also taken to Luthern Medical where they are listed in serious but stable condition. A third passenger, a 22 year-old man, was treated at Luthern and is expected to be released, police say.

A Brooklyn motorcyclist lost control of his bike Tuesday right before a brown Ford Explorer sports utility vehicle rounded a corner and struck him. An 18 year-old bicyclist was hit Wednesday morning when he was hit by a van running a red light. The cyclist was riding on Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn, approached an intersection, and was hit as the van driver disregarded his red light. An bus accident in Manhattan on Friday sent more than 20 people to the hospital.
